We spent New Years eve in San Sebastian Spain with our friends Kim and Sandy visiting from London. It is a 2 1/2 hours drive from our house and 10 degrees warmer :)
known officially as Donostia-San Sebastián
Locals call themselves donostiarras, both in Basque and Spanish.

Because we went off season we got an amazing deal on this 5 star hotel :)
We would take the elevator and Tatiana the stairs.
It was a race to the lobby.
In Spain there are Tapas bars everywhere. People stand and eat if there is no seat which in France that would never happen, a French person would never eat standing up.
There were some pretty interesting nibbles like
vegetables mixed in blood. Didn't ask who's blood
You grab a plate, fill it up, give it to the bartender and he charges you

I dont think there are any vegitarian Spanards
They were celebrating the day of the 3 wise men.
