Chateau de Vayres

Medieval castle, located on the banks of the Dordogne River. The castle was built in the 11th century to protect the city of Bordeaux. It has been restored and changed through out history. It is still privately owned. We could only visit a portion of it. It is available to rent for parties.

The open flap with the picture on it was used to let light into the
bathroom, now of course we have light bulbs

In the medieval times sorcery and witches were very popular

the kids had to find clues in the forest and came across
gnomes and other fun forest friends
