This started out as a hunting palace in 1569. It was turned into a stately residence in 1745 by Maria Theresa. There are 40 grand rooms to visit, then gardens and orangeries. Palace showcases six centuries of the Habsburg rule, which includes thousands of images, objects, maps, books, paintings, furniture and so much more. Put aside several hours for this tour, no pictures are allowed, these happened to fall into my camera.
This Christmas market had the most elegant things, hand crafted, hand painted but so delicate I was afraid they would break on my way back home.
rooms are heated by these incredible ceramic heaters
A very special clock where you can see the time in the reflection
Mozart gave a concert here
Marie Antoinette's room
Sisi's hair! She washed it in eggs and cognac and it took 3 hours!
She would also be very upset with her maids if they brushed her hair and
she would lose some in her brush.
Where she had breakfast
