Argentina here we come

This years Christies conference was in Buenos Aires,
the first thing to be aware of are the taxis, there are two kinds,
the flat rate kind which will drive like a mad man to get you to your destination.
The second is the metered kind which take the long way around and
one guy even charged us for carrying our luggage!
We found our hotel drivers were the best, cost a bit more but courteous, trust worthy, polite
and a normal driver, they tended to have nicer cars with water bottles, sun cream and
mosquito repellent. We decided it was better to pay a bit more and arrive in one piece and
not annoyed for trying to get ripped off.

The minute you check in, the front desk warns you "dont wear ANY jewelry" "dont even wear fake jewelry" "dont wear a watch" "dont pull out your cell phone, it will get taken"
and NEVER use an ATM on the  street you will be followed and mugged.
There is a hidden ATM within the hotel with a guard use that one.

There were several people from the conference that didnt follow the rules and got mugged.
One guy who wore his Rolex (dumb, I know) out on a walk had someone remove it
from his wrist with a screwdriver and took off.

I have been to enough third world countries to know to try to blend in.
I was packed with prayer and a watchful eye, with God watching over me
the entire time, never felt unsafe or threatened

 Michael already working
they told me they had the same plug as the US, dont think so

Their Spanish is a bit different from Mexican Spanish, a pineapple is anana
(almost like the French word) and a peach is Danasco. We say Piña and durasno.

I have never seen Frida's exhibit, I had to see it for the first time in Buenos Aires
Frida in the hospital! That is no ordinary hospital gown
where there is Frida there is Diego

she painted a lot of self portraits, Im guessing she would have liked selfies

after that exhibit I walked to the next museum to see some Miro
