Hornets nest in our guest room

Found a enormous hornets nest in our guest room! There is a double door in the room, a glass door then a space then a wooden door. The hornets made a nest between the two doors. It is so stunningly beautiful that I dont want to have it taken down.

 they even sealed the crack in the door

Our friend Ian Zipfel came to visit, Ian is a bespoke shoe maker.

We spent lots of time eating, drinking lovely wine and watching Downton Abbey.

 We also took advantage of the beautiful autumn and shot some of his shoes.
