Hurricane

There was a horrible hurricane over the weekend, it started on Saturday at 4:30am. The wind was gushing at 180 kilometers it woke us up and we were running around the house closing all the shutters. The electricity went down and so did the phones. The wind knocked down several trees and took out our phone line. The meadow was so flooded that it looked like rice fields. On Saturday afternoon we were worried about our 80 year old neighbor Fox and decided to venture out and see how if she was alright.
She lives in a mill house and the water was completely overflowing.
She was fine but what an adventure getting to her house.

St Georges

Michael and I signed up for the Prayer vigil, it is round the clock prayer at St Georges.
We go every Monday from 9:00- 10:00
The church is about 1000 years old and is used primarily for prayer.
They couldn't use the St Emilion church because of the tourism.

this is where you sign in
I usually sit behind Mdm. Lacour by the heat lamps :)

I pray for all my friends and family but if you have
specific prayer requests please email them to me.
I would love to pray for you.

Dinner in Bordeaux

Went to Bordeaux today,
had dinner with Kim and Sandy at a nice restaurant.

Dig those cow bells at the cheese shop :)

We ate at Café du Port
All the dishes were incredible

I loved how they outlined the spoon

Needless to say we were all a very happy bunch when we left this restaurant

Happy New Year

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Biarritz

Biarritz

I will have to agree with Michael's aunt Carol as this being her favorite place.
I think it will go on my top 10.
Vikings settled in Biarritz in 840. Biarritz has long made its fortune from the sea: as a whaling settlement from the 12th century onwards, in the 18th century doctors recommended that the ocean at Biarritz had
therapeutic properties, inspiring patients to make pilgrimages
to the beach for alleged cures for their ailments.
Biarritz is a Basque name. Biarritz became famous in 1840 when Empress Eugenie and Napoleon III built their palace on the beach

This place is huge and is now a hotel.
We looked at the dinner menu and the prices start at 50 euros
