Biarritz

Biarritz

I will have to agree with Michael's aunt Carol as this being her favorite place.
I think it will go on my top 10.
Vikings settled in Biarritz in 840. Biarritz has long made its fortune from the sea: as a whaling settlement from the 12th century onwards, in the 18th century doctors recommended that the ocean at Biarritz had
therapeutic properties, inspiring patients to make pilgrimages
to the beach for alleged cures for their ailments.
Biarritz is a Basque name. Biarritz became famous in 1840 when Empress Eugenie and Napoleon III built their palace on the beach

This place is huge and is now a hotel.
We looked at the dinner menu and the prices start at 50 euros
