Easter Field Trip

The school had an Easter field trip, I was asked if I wanted to be a chaperone. I accepted and decided this time I would dress up because the French always look nice. I showed up on the day of the trip and everyone was in sneakers.
There is no school bus we would walk to our destination.

In remembrance of Jesus we walked out of the school with the
kindergarteners all waving palms at us.
It was a very special feeling

Tatiana has a crush on this boy Antoine and I guess he likes her too

Here we are on our way and me with the wrong shoes!!

April Fool

In France on April first, you give each other a fish. French children fool their friends by taping a paper fish to their friends' backs. Then saying
"poissons d'avril" which is "April fish"

Field Trip

Today was field trip day, it was a musical themed field trip. All the kids dressed up and the teachers dressed up as music notes. All the students paraded around St Emilion singing and blowing on a whistle. All the tourist stopped to photograph the event. We were then lead across the street by the local police to the auditorium where there were clowns waiting for the kids. They sang and played instruments then we all walked back through the town and back to school where refreshments and cakes were waiting for us.

It was nice to walk through the town and feel like a local, waving at people as we walked through the town. The police here already know us and we get special treatment when we double park. Restaurant owners now tell us what is "really" good on the menu. The local bakery tells us which is the best bread to buy for the day. My French is coming along and I am understanding more and more. We have been invited to so many peoples homes for dinner that I am touched by how we have been so kindly received. We are involved in the local church and been given the honor to lead the children s ministry! We have no experience in this and would appreciate any advice.
We have the kids during the service for about half hour. Ages from 1-10

I also want to thank everyone that has been praying for Emeric (the priest) and writing him encouraging letters. It has really touched him.
