We went to visit Chateau Chenonceau which is one of the biggest in the Loire valley built in the 16th century. Henri II gave the castle to his mistress Diane de Poitiers. When he died his wife Catherine of Medici kicked her out and moved in.
I was told to look out for the flower arrangements which were stunning.

the entrance hall, with an amazing ceiling

it was Easter weekend so the theme was eggs

Louise of Lorraine's bedroom who was a widow so the room was painted black

Cesar of Vendome's bedroom

Catherine de Medici's bedroom

Gabrielle d'Estress bedroom

the tudor ceiling

cleverly hidden eggs

The grand hall where banquets were held

the orangerie where you can have lunch or tea

the labyrinth, it had been raining so you were sloshing through mud

Castelmoron

I went to photograph a house today in Castelmoron. I had never been there but fell in love with the village.
It is a very typical French village with NO tourist.

Figured since I had my camera I would walk around the village.
Here are some photos I took.

Looks like an old feeding troughs

10 year anniversary

It was our 10 year wedding anniversary, it honestly doesn't feel like 10.
I am still crazy about him and look forward to the next 10.
Michael took me to a fancy restaurant in Bordeaux.

I got flowers and a case of my favorite wine, Chateau Lugagnac.

An anniversary letter Tatiana snuck in Michael's pocket

liked the bread presentation

Michael's starter

I got the fois gras

We were talking a bit too much and I forgot to photograph our entree.
We both had fish.

Happy Anniversary!!

loto 2010

It was the big school fundraiser. They play loto and give away amazing prizes.

It ends at midnight. It was a great way for me to practice my numbers.

I made the cupcakes and they were a big success. This year I was behind the table selling and I couldnt believe how much my French has progressed.

Here are my cards, didnt win a thing.
