Christmas in Lisbon

We went to Lisbon for Christmas

We rented an apartment in the town center

we also went grocery shopping, funny shaped cabbage
very expensive chicken, came with two eggs

 city view

crazy cactus creeper

I would be worried someone would steal my clothes or dirty them as a joke
went to a wine bar to sample some ports
this 1883 port was outstanding and for 800 euros a bottle it should be

nice look

beautiful building that is the metro
 dining in Lisbon

 not what Tatiana was expecting

Lisbon is famous for their cable cars
an old barn converted to a shop

not quite sure what this was
 we made it!

The town of Sintra

Pena Palace
 Lord of the Rings perhaps?

Quinta da Regaleira

Knights of the Temple or the ideals of the master Masons, to descend into the initiation well via an immense spiral shaped staircase. And down below, standing on a light pointed star it is as if we were immersed in the womb of Mother Earth. All we must do is traverse the darkness of the labyrinth grottos until we reach the light, reflected in the water of lakes of surprising beauty.

Monserrate Palace was built in 1858

Our friends the Vandames whom we spent Christmas with

for all those dumb Anglo-Saxons who dont see the glass

I want her balance and posture

 cone head ice-cream
it was typical to just hang your clothes out your window

We just want to thank the Vandame family for including us in their Christmas dinner,
we had a wonderful time with them. They really are a super family.
